Look for historic and rare plants in College Woods | May 20

Virginia bluebells (Virginia Native Plant Society - Pocahontas Chapter)

Want to connect with nature this weekend? Then join the Pocahontas Chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society as they explore William and Mary’s historic campus park for rare and historic plants!

On May 20 at 3 p.m., trip leader Caitie Cyrus – a master of science candidate at the college – will lead you on a two-hour walk through the College Woods.

Anyone interested may join, novice and expert alike. The event is free, but you will need to register by contacting Caitie Cyrus at 410-693-6829 or cyruscd@gmail.com.

The event will start at the corner of Brooks Street and Compton Drive. Parking is available nearby, at the lot diagonally across from the student rec center.

Be sure to wear sturdy, waterproof shoes or boots, and bring snacks and water.

In case of rain, contact Caitie Cyrus to see if the walk is canceled.
