50 Years of Love

The 'Virginia is for Lovers' slogan turns 50!

To celebrate 50 Years of Love, Richmond Region Tourism is teaming up with the University of Richmond and local breweries!

Richmond Region Tourism was granted $10,000 to help celebrate.

“The requirement for Virginia Tourism was a minimum of ten partners, and so we actually just stuck with the ten so that each of our partners would be able to make full use of that grant money so they each got $1000 so that was just helpful so everyone could get the best bang for their buck to buy the products they needed for the brews and that kind of thing”.

These ten partners will bring “RVA’s Frothy 50 Days of Love” to life:

– Three Notch’d RVA Collab House
– Intermission Brewery
– Canon and Draw Brewery
– Black Heath Meadery
– Fine Creek Brewing
– Strangeways Brewing
– Final Gravity Brewing Co.
– Triple Crossing Brewing
– Comfort Restaurant
– University of Richmond continuing studies

Everything in the promotion must include 50 or something Virginia themed … so Virginia produce or hops that are grown in Virginia.

Virginia is for Lovers: Bans on interracial marriage were ruled unconstitutional – thanks to a Va. couple

Every week – over the next 50 days – each partner will release their creation. At the end of the 50 days, there will be a big blowout party to commemorate the end of the promotion.

The area’s different beers, meads and everything else produced over those 50 days will be the highlight of the celebration.

Stay in the loop with all 50 Years of Love upcoming events!

The first release is July 21 at Three Notch’d RVA Collab House for their “Cherries are for Lovers” wild cherry sour!
