Big Herm’s tuna steak and salsa recipe

Try out Big Herm’s tuna steak and salsa recipe for yourself!

For the Tuna:

  • 4 thick tuna steaks
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • Garlic, Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup of Olive Oil

For the Fruit Salsa:

  • 1 red bell pepper,seeded and diced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper,seeded and diced
  • 1 mango, peeled, seeded, and diced
  • 1 cup diced pineapple
  • 2 kiwi fruit, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Zest and juice of 1 lime
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sriracha sauce

For the Veggies:

  • 4 tablespoons of Olive Oil
  • Garlic, Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 yellow squash (thinly sliced)
  • 1 zucchini (thinly sliced)

Directions:

  1. Heat grill/Flat top to Medium heat.
  2. Place oil and seasonings in shallow bowl
  3. Dredge Tuna Steaks in oil
  4. Cook on Medium/ High heat for 2-3 mins on each side
  5. While Tuna is cooking make your Salsa.
  6. Combine all ingredients except for Lime & Sriracha.
  7. Drizzle Lime juice on top and toss.
  8. Top with Sriracha
  9. Next Combine oil and seasonings together for your veggies.
  10. Lightly brush oil mixture onto veggies.
  11. Grill for 1-2 mins on each side.
  12. Place Cooked Tuna on plate, top with Salsa mixture. Serve with a side of veggies.
