Inside Richmond’s latest celebrity chef restaurant

Inside Peter Chang Richmond

Peter Chang opened his second location in the greater Richmond area earlier this month. Peter Chang Richmond Downtown opened in Scott’s Addition in the historic Hofheimer Building at 2816 W. Broad Street. The original local location is in Short Pump at 11424 West Broad Street.  Like his West End and Northern Virginia Locations, Peter Chang’s newest spot serves up his typical Szechuan cuisine to loyal followers or “Changians.”

@chefpeterchang opened his 2nd location in Richmond today, Peter Chang Richmond Downtown(the original Richmond location is in Short Pump.) I got to attend the soft opening for his Scott’s Addition location in the historic Hofheimer Building last night (thanks @raydaudaninbc12) Chang’s newest spot serves up his typical Szechuan cuisine to loyal followers or “Changians,” but unlike his other locations, his Scott's Addition location features a speciality drink menu, a developed appetizer menu and selection of 'Dim Sum' to choose from. For those new to Chang's dining, be careful when trying anything that has a chili-pepper icon. Chang likes to use spice, a lot. It got a bit loud in the restaurant when it was at capacity, but the space is stunning so I'd tough it out despite the noise level! The restaurant space was designed by Interior Designer, Vera Xu who did a wonderful job combining Chinese influences while maintaining the Scott's Addition neighborhood roots. Need a new spot for drinks before hitting the town, a place to celebrate that promotion at work, or a fun place to go for girls night? Head to Chang's for drinks at the bar and enjoy some appetizers. I definitely recommend checking out this restaurant really soon! Chang's is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood.
