Richmond 18th nationally in work/life balance

If you’re looking for a place that has good work/life balance, you’re already in a pretty good one.

Richmond work/life balance ranked No. 18 in the country among larger cities in an analysis by Smart Asset.

The study looked at unemployment rates, average commute time and the density rate of bars, restaurants and entertainment venues.

Richmond performed well compared to other cities in restaurant density, but its unemployment rate was among the highest of cities in the top 25.

Richmond placed just between Durham, NC, and Scottsdale, AZ.

RVA ranked 22nd in the same analysis last year. The top three of Madison, Wi; Lincoln, NE; and Omaha, NE, was unchanged.
