Mark your calendars for June 8 - 9!
The RVA East End Festival kicks off their 4th year and this year they are back at Chimborazo Park and taking part in the Big Tent Community Festival program of the Richmond Symphony.
This FREE two-day event celebrates music, dance, arts, food and fun, all while raising funds for music education in East End public schools.
“Our theme this year is The Gift of Arts and Music,” said the Reverend Marilyn Heckstall, pastor of Asbury Church Hill United Methodist Church and 2019 festival chair. “These gifted musicians and visual artists are sharing their virtuosity and skilled craftsmanship with the entire community. In return, the festival provides a path for them to pursue their dreams to excel in the creative field.”
Many of the performers are from area schools and artists in the Richmond Community.
There will be live performances, food trucks, a beer garden, local retail vendors, community organizations, face painting for the kids, costume character appearances and more!
