A weekly farmer’s market is coming to Capitol Square starting immediately.
Gov. Ralph Northam announced the new farmer’s market, which will be at the corner of Bank and Grace streets every Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Fresh food and flowers as well as prepared meals will be available from June 22 through September.
Some of the vendors expected to participate in the market are Agriberry Farm, Brooks Farm, Caromont Farm, Chestnut Ridge Farm, Hog Haven, My Empanada, Plants with Purpose, Red Cap Patisserie, River City Bakery and Trehaus Juice Company.
There will also be cooking demonstrations and live music.
